I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – the LitUp events are the best literary event going on in San Francisco: smart, funny, free AND really well done (read: I don’t want to stick a fork in my eye after an author drones on too long, I get to both see and hear the reader, everyone is prepared, I don’t have to sell my firstborn to attend, and it’s a friendly bunch of people who show up.
